The Kaiapoi Theatre Company presents 'Chess in Concert' the musical created by Tim Rice, Benny Andersson and Bjon Ulvaeus.

Creator Tim Rice has waived royalties for the show in order for all money raised to go directly to the Kaiapoi community to help its earthquake recovery.

The Theatre Company acknowledges the support of Creative Communites Waimakariri.

The Kaiapoi Theatre Company is fortunate to have some talented backing for this performance through the experience of Edward O’Brien who is directing the show and Gail Fox as musical director.

The performance will be supported by the Risingholme Orchestra and Singers, who will be conducted in performance by Tony Ferner, a professional conductor whose credits include conducing large scale performances of Les Miserables, Cats and Beauty And The Beast for the Hawkes Bay Operatic Company in Napier as well as conducting the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
