Load up your bikes and head out to the Ashley Rakahuri River, just west of Rangiora, to be part of the launch of this new Regional River Park. Walking and river wildlife are also a feature of this day

Come along from 10am, with an official launch of the Ashley Rakahuri River Park by Enviroment Canterbury at 10.30am.

Tour the new mountain bike tracks and discover the Rakahuri MTB Park, with guided tours by the crew from the North Canterbury Cycling Club.

Learn about the rare and endangered birds on the Ashley River with guided tours by the Ashley Rakahuri Rivercare Group.

Rangiora BMX track will be open and the Club is celebrating it's 30th Anniversary with a meet of races that starts at 11am - lots of great action from our local world leading champions! Great views of the action around the track or as you bike past on the river stopbank.

Displays will be in the picnic area with lots of great information from Environment Canterbury, Department of Conservation, Push Bikes Rangiora.

A sausage sizzle will be held in the picnic area. You are welcome to bring along your own picnic lunch and enjoy the spacious picnic areas in the Ashley Rakahuri River Park.
