Painter and Art Tutor
Toni’s spacious, light studio is situated in her large mature and tranquil garden at Waikuku.
Her work can be viewed at her studio during open hours or by appointment on Sundays.
Studio Classes
Studio classes run during the school term time with tuition given in painting with acrylics and oils.

Landscape Painting Workshop/Day
These workshops run approximately once a month on a Sunday throughout the warmer months. Locations vary from the waterways of Waikuku, North Canterbury vineyards, to the magnificent historic home and garden at Birch Hill. Dates and venues are posted on www.artfari.co.nz
Colour Mixing Workshops
You will not want to miss this workshop presented by Toni Duffy, a noted artist and Registered Teacher with the internationally acclaimed Michael Wilcox School of Colour The workshop will impart a clear understanding of the science and physics of light and colour as it applies to the artist. Participants will achieve an in-depth knowledge of colour mixing, colour harmony, and colour contrast as well as discussing artist’s pigments and techniques. This approach to colour mixing is widely recognized today as the only way for artists to accurately select and mix colours.
This workshop is intended for fine artists, graphic artists, designers – interior and exterior, fabric artists – quilters, and teachers of all levels who strive to gain a better understanding and control over colour use in their work.

Children’s Holiday Workshops
These workshops run on the 2nd Tuesday of the school holiday and cater for children aged 7-13 years. They are run more frequently during the summer break. The workshops are held at Artfari Studio in Waikuku. Check the website for more info www.artfari.co.nz
The theme changes regularly, but previous classes have tackled painting portraits, swamp hens, beach scenes and salty fish!
Classes run 1-4pm and cost $35.
