Waimakariri River Regional

Kaiapoi Island Trail is a great ride for families and individuals.  It is a two way shared trail of river and forest rides with great views. Kaiapoi Island is a section of the Waimakariri River Regional Park extending from the Kaiapoi River confluence upstream heading west and has 18.5 km of tracks

 Gates open at 4.30am and are locked at 10pm, or 7pm April to September.

Access: There are two entrances for Kaiapoi Island, Raven Quay and Wrights Road.

Viewing: Braided River, birdlife, willow forest, ponds.

Getting more from your ride:

Carry on to the Pegasus Trail to Pines/Kairaki Beach and beyond or the Passchendaele Memorial Path to Rangiora.
